From the appearance it looks slimy and has bubble around it most likely it's looking dark red because of phosphate I'd recommend you test for any silicate in your water chemistry.
It's just lacking lightning , imagine yourself coming out of a cave and never seen the sun it would take a while to acclimate. Anemone is having the same issue, just give it time if anything provide it with just a little bit more light and slowly bring it up to a higher par.
Hi there! It depends on aquascaping the amount of live rock you have in there and water flow, it shouldn't be an issue. Provided with the right environment and proper diet they should all get along and should rarely come across each other and become territorial. I do hope you have a quarantine...
I'd recommend the Current USA eFlux DC Flow Pump, I have it running in a 180gal salt water tank for slightly over a year with no issues to this day and it's whisper quiet. It also gives you the option to throttle the pump. And you save electricity, go green ! :)
Hey! I wouldn't worry, just throttle it down and run it dry. Just to keep the high O2 levels stable in the aquarium. Because in certain cases changes like turning off the skimmer will be noticed by the aquarium. You already have low nutrient, you don't want to cause another fluctuation.
Hi there, from what I understand, it shouldn't affect it because the bio pellets are not a chemical bonding agent like activated carbon. But do check the type of bio pellets you are using because there's a wide variety made of different compounds. Happy reefing !!
