So someone gave me some blue life clear fx pro today which I was told was like chemipure elite. The jar contains all the media in one media bag ready to go. My only concern is that it says it treats 30 gallons but my tank is only 6, does this matter? Should I cut open the bag and divide it...
Thanks its been up for a little over 6 months. It currently has one small perc and a yellow clown goby, a few assorted zoas, some favias, a couple frogspawn, a lobo some ricordeas and a couple simple sps frags.
Its sounds stupid but my moonlight is just a a charger for a phone that I striped and hooked up to a single royal blue led. (been doing it for over a year.) I unsoldered each led and attached them individually to the charger none of them lit up.
Gotcha so if I was going to run 7 led's which driver would be best? http://www.rapidled.com/mean-well-eln-60-48d-dimmable-driver/ or http://www.rapidled.com/mean-well-eln-60-27d-dimmable-driver/ only reason I as is the 60-48 says 8-14 leds, can I use it with only 7? (sorry this stuff is like...
So switching to a stronger driver would be better since its max output was 700ma and the leds were 1500ma? and the leds were all wired together on the same driver one leds negative to the next leds positive and so on.
Will do
Thanks for all the help guys I'm no electrician so I'm sure there's a huge possibility I could have fudged something up in the design of it. It was just odd to me because it has been running fine for six months.
Or maybe I shouldn't focus on why it happened but how to prevent it on the next light. Should I switch to a meanwell? or will this driver work? Adding a fan wouldn't hurt and if i'm going to run blues and whites is there any comination that works well together (I.E. XP-G and XT-E's...etc). and...
I can usually touch it without it being too hot its warm but bareable. I hooked them up to another driver I had for moonlights which is still working but wouldn't work with the bad leds. (I don't have a tester)
