    Ok.... this thread has fallen through for me. The 60 cube deal backed out last min. I guess when its not meant to be its just not. I have another tank I will go see tomorrow, will update and possibly have to start a new thread about the next tank. smh lol

    the Aquamaxx ConeS CO-1 is a pretty unique looking skimmer. Im going to do a little more looking into. What have you all heard about its overall performance? Looks a little too "space aged" than what I'm used to so it seems hard to trust lol The $230 price tag is pretty nice and fits well inside...

    as far as skimmers are concerned, I plan on keeping a nice amount of anthius as well as a nem, so they are all high waste producers... So considering my plans on tank inhabitants, would these still be too much? -Vertex Alpha 170 skimmer / ATB 840/ Aquamaxx ConeS CO-1/Super Reef Octopus XP2000

    I was running Radium bulbs with Galaxy ballasts (240w) before... loved the look but hated the heat. being in palmdale heat can be an issue so I think I'm going to be looking back into some of the newer LED technology out. What LED setups are good now. I heard of some that simulate cloud passings...

    Seems like the only way to do it would be to have an external overflow built outside of the tank. Seems like that is what the video has that just as reefes pieces stated. or center overflow with rock island in the center. iono

    I WILL have a sump. I will be running a skimmer (bubble king or reef octo) and a fuge. I just need to find a way to do it without having a huge overflow sticking out from the middle of my tank or disrupting too much of a view from any angle.

    just check the SWC site for their recommended water height. I had the same skimmer you are running since it was first released, I believe it was recommended at 6" or 8" if i remember correctly.
