    need help with sump

    I put together a 15 tall sump last year for a nano, 9.75" x 13" panels came out to be about $10 bucks each for 1/4" thick glass at Murray's Ace Hardware (Glass dept right next door) in Santa Ana. I've read from several people that they paid half of that, so I'll be calling around this time...

    Glass is sold by the square foot, so if you go over 12", you'll be paying more, something to keep in mind. Usually skimmers need a 6-10" water height, usually being 8-9" being the sweet spot.. and you can always raise the skimmer if the skimmer requires less water or you want a larger water...
