No, only the base can be in the bootloader mode. The Eb8 blinking amber light means it does not communicate with the base. That could be the Cable or the port or the base itself is bad.

My rock nem is 2-3 inches in diameter in the sump and if I didn't relocate it to the display, these peppermint would have taken care of it too. I keep the shrimps in my sump and after they finished all the aiptasias they looked around for things like aiptasia to eat. They ate all my baby rock...
