so i acquired a SpectraPure Ultra Precise ATO system and i think its awesome. its a peristaltic pump and the level indicator is similar to the avast marine top-off control sensor. its really pricy but it works flawlessly...

considering salt does not evaporate, the moisture shouldn't be too bad. how much is your evaporation / week? I wouldnt put the intake right above the tank

Oh my. This is heart breaking. I have been trying to make sure I don’t put my hands in my tank for anything. If I do, I make sure I’m washing and sterilizing with hot water before I do because of all the hand sanitizer. Sorry for your loss.
