I use Salifert test kits for Alk,Cal, Mag and Nitrates and Hanna phosphate checker LR. I tested phosphates 3 times today and all zero. Unless I have a bad batch of reagents or the +/- 0.04 tolerance is in play or I really have 0 not sure. I think I'd be fine if I had 0.04 that would not cause...

Thanks for the response. My rock and sand are 4 months old and I experienced a spike in nitrates when tank cycled. I have not had any detectable readings of Phosphates or Nitrates since, and I test religiously. If my rock or sand was leaching No3 or No4 ect... I would have some sort of algae...
