Hello All,

im new to posting here on socalireefs but have been lurking for some time, ive owned an aqua japan gallon aio for almost 2 years and have definitely learnt a lot from the insane amount of mistakes i made with that tank. With that being said i pulled the trigger on a new red sea reefer 170 rimless which i received just about 3 days ago. In total excitement i forgot to take a photo of the box and packaging as it was delivered and proceeded to getting the cabinet built. As it stands right now the cabinet is built and the tank is on the stand.

Here is a photo of the tank that the red sea will be replacing, the awesome stickers and paper garlands were done by my daughter (shes very artsy). this tank was drained and moved to this spot in my place so i could move the red sea into the spot i want it. This area isnt fully level but i really don't have a choice with the space constraints in my living room to move it anywhere else, hopefully it doesn't do any damage while its there for a couple months.

Onto the red sea!

The cabinet is built and the tank is on the cabinet, with the order i picked up the smallest red sea skimmer, im pretty sure its overkill but it has that cool matching factor which i couldn't turn away from not to mention, im planning a fairly heavy bio load for this tank. In this same order i picked up some carib sea shaped rock (all arches) and mocked up the aqua scape im going for, constructive criticism is highly appreciated when it comes to this.

The structure itself is stable but i think im going to use some reef cement or superglue gel to make sure it stays up right.

List of planned equipment for this build:
Current usa DC controllable return pump (on the fence about this one, any input or recommendations would be appreciated, I only want DC though)
Icecap gyre 1k x2 or reef breeders rpm wave makers x 2
BRS Carbon and GFO Reactor *plumbed on return manifold*
Aqua Ultraviolet 15w UV Sterilizer *plumbed on return manifold*
kamoer f4 pro dosing pump (i like the thin profile)
Ecotech Radion XR30W light fixture with RMS mounting arm (do i really need the pro??)
ViaAqua 100w heater with temp controller
IceCap ATO (transfer from the old system)

At this point my next steps will be to plumb the return manifold, ive never plumbed anything with PVC so any tips on this are welcome, especially with how to get a 3/4 inch standard return tube down to the push lock fittings that are needed for the brs reactor, for the plumbing im thinking red and white schedule 40 pipe and fittings to match the red sea skimmer
