Need advice as this is getting harder to clean and keep the acrylic clean. I've used a Kent Acrylic scraper, credit cards, and magnet cleaners specifically for Acrylic ie: Tunze and Flipper. They all help but I've noticed that the coralline is more calcified now and is requiring alot more effort. Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Try Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. It works pretty amazing and you can pick it up for a few bucks at the grocery store. Your just gonna have to apply good old fashion elbow grease when using the foam pad. I used it to clean my acrylic frag tank worked amazing on stubborn corraline algae.

Dave, oh2many fishes uses a razer blade with curved edges, I don’t know where to find them or if I’d even recommend it but Dave has had great success with them fro many years. When I had acrylic I’d use credit cards and room keys but the edges get dull pretty quickly.

Really the best solution is as you might guess the most expensive. The tunze care magnet is absolutely awesome. I use one on my glass tank and liked it so very much I loaned it to my friend Steve who used it on his 3/4” acrylic tank. He ended up buying one and never looked back. Just be sure to buy the appropriate size one for your thickness acrylic.

So Mark your friend that you lent the tunze care magnet to, used the glass scraper for glass tanks and not the plastic scraper for acrylic tanks?
