Toadstools and other leathers release Terpenes. Not toxins per se, but if they’re agitated and stung by other corals they may release a lot of it.
Won’t kill your fish but it could hinder growth in some LPS and SPS.
Occasional carbon will soak that up. If you have a 12” leather in a 10g tank you might have to use more carbon regularly then say in a 100g tank with nothing with Nematocysts or other irritants.
