I have a 55 gallon tank with a 20 gallon sump. In the sump I have a sock and protein skimmer unknown brand and a marine aqua DC return pump. I have a reef 90 LED light. A SDC wave maker and A 10 gallon ATO container with the Duetto auto top off. Tank is 3 years old have had 2 crashes but it is going strong now.

Hi Ron, very nice setup you got there.
The name of that skimmer is ASM with Sedra pump. Not sure the model, look like G2 model. That skimmer is the best skimmer back in the days like 15 years ago. It's a knock off of famous brand "Euro-Reef" using the same type of pump but higher end.
Ok awesome thank you! I've had to replace the pump once probably should have just upgraded lol

Don’t let that skimmer deter you. As Letsgo said, ASM was the best skimmer at a time. I had a G1x. Currently using an old outdated skimmer no longer produced. In fact the company is gone. Your getting good results, no need to change.
Three years in, 2 crashes and no forum for help. Perseverance.

Thank you yes I will keep this one. I have a 180 gallon tank I'm going to set up once I move and keep this 55 gallon for Frags or make it a sea horse tank.
