What the heck is this nasty thing?

I've seen posts with tape worms in the past and I'm scared this is one. What is it and what should I be worried about with it? Thank you!

yup. that is the normal resident pest that you will almost always have in a tank.
the super Bristle worm that can grow bigger than a foot LOL

Looks more like a fire worm rather than your average bristle.

Easy to catch.. use a nylon stocking and place a shrimp 🦐 inside of it, and place it near a
Rock 🪨 where you saw it.
They get stuck on the sock and it’s an easy way to get rid of them

just buy a bristle worm trap. youll always have bristle worms no matter how hard you try to keep them out.
