Was in North Hollywood yesterday and stopped into Deep Blue. It’s a smaller store but it has a ton of corals. Basically two isles (four sides, multiple tiers) but it’s an efficient coral farm happening in there.
When I was there, there was a lady just steadily working at cleaning up frag plugs at their fragging station.
There’s a huge variety of corals all in great shape, growing well. They have a couple large frag tanks that are priced, $25 or 5 for $100 and the up from there. There are a lot of unmarked tanks that are what look to be essentially colonies that they pull from.
Things were so healthy in there I asked what was their secret. “No secret, just water changes and feeding.” was the reply.
I grabbed a few easy corals and she handed me a bottle of food and said that’s what they used. So I got that too.
