If you're just looking for pop and not coral growth, then I would buy the AliE bars, as you can custom order the spectrum/diodes you want. XHO's are the most overpriced and cheaply made light bar out there. They have great pop, but you can get so much more from other bars for much less. The Quanta's aren't dimmable, but I treat them like T5's, so that's not an issue for me. I use three of them and I turn them on 5 minutes apart from each other.
Luca's (Quanta Lights) is currently working on a fixture (not a bar) that's due out in May. It's called The Helix. Give me a minute and I'll post some pics with just the Meso Blues on.
The XHO's use 470nm and 450nm diodes, so it's an easy thing to mimic/replace.
I think the Popular Grow bars can be modded with those two diodes for a fraction of the cost.

Looks good!

How do you order these Alie bars and what distribution of 470 and 450 nm would you go with to mimic the XHO pop, any recommendations?

I think it’s a 50/50 split between the two. There’s a thread on R2R about the Hefri and AliE bars. Reach out to @telegraham and Jim will help you. Or reach out to him on Humblefish.

Im thinking about the AI blade glow for pop. Is it worth it? I dont canopy so it has to look sleek.

i have 3 radion xr30 blue g5 running ab+. I want the daylight look for the sps but want to add a glow for the torches in foreground. Does it look weird to add blue in front of ab+?

If you already have Hydra's or Radions, kessil's, I don't think so. I think they would cover the same spectrum. But I guess it could depending on the schedule you set up. I am running the grows in conjunction with my radions. But the blades (grows or glows) are very slim and sleek.

I think the blades look a lot sleeker than others. The glows are probably what you’d want to go with. I went with a grow and glow but for the extra blue pop that you’re looking for you may want to just go with the glows.
