That small would work. Just having mixed feelings about the BRS one vs a true media reactor how has your experience been? Ive read its hard to get the right flow when running bio pellets or spheres in there. Primarily adding this to help with nutrient export.

Wow what a difference that made cant believe ive dealt with that long with as loud as it was. I think the hole I orginally drilled in the top was too big though cause its a little loud and echoy but thats easy fix. All i hear is the skimmee humming away now though. Appreciate the reply and help!

Well I might have moved to fast out of excitement and picked up a hammer and a small Micromussa colony as the first corals in my tank. Along with a pair of perc clowns. The hammer seems to be doing great, full color and full extension everyday. The micro on the other hand difinetly looks like...

Robert, I got it thats basically exacly how mine is setup. I will order up the gste valve and see how it works out I think it will help with noise and salt creep from excessive splashing.

Got it, thats what I was thinking about putting in. How far up from where the pipe meets the sump is your gate vavle? I would assume that too far up you would just have the same issue below the gate valve.
