I thought it might be a sponge because there are a couple black sponges on it, but when I was looking it and I accidentally peeled a piece of the outer skeleton of the torch. I think it might be the inside of the skeleton. I'm guessing it might be more prone to get infected if that is the case?

Anyone know what this rash is on my torch? n
