    What's your Kryptonite?

For me it's pocilloporas and Acro abrotanoides. I've gone through three of those acros, and I just can't keep them.

    Coral mounting discussion Part One:

Definitely it would be easier, I just don't have that much of it in my tank and I have a bunch of this stuff.

    Coral mounting discussion Part One:

It's cool to see what other people are using in place of plugs. Here's the stuff I use. I had a bunch of this left over from when I orignally made some liverock towers in my display. I take coarse sand I've sucked up while doing water changes and mix it with the mortar and fixative. I...

    Coral mounting discussion Part One:

I hate disks and plugs, too. I've experimented with making my own plugs, with sand and E-Marco mortar stuff from marco rocks.

The "I got killed in fantasy football and can't watch the game anymore" photo thread

The "I got killed in fantasy football and can't watch the game anymore" photo thread I got murdered in both my leagues this week, and the disaster that was Monday Night Football killed any chance of a comeback, so instead of watching the rest of the game, I took some photos of my tank...

I have several small nassarius snails, and I'll see one climbing on the glass every once in a while.

How long have you been in?

I started in 2002 with a 20 gallon long with PC lighting and a crappy HOB skimmer. I had a monster outbreak of aiptasia and some green star polyps, and an evil purple pseudochromis and blue damsel. After about a year I upgraded to a 75 and figured a few things out, enough to keep some brown...

What precautions did you take with your new coral?

The coral Rx and the FW exit don't do anything for eggs. I don't know about the Bayer dip. I haven't looked at that thread on RC for a long time, so I don't know if anyone has done any more testing with it. It definitely seems to kill anything crawling around on the coral, though.

What precautions did you take with your new coral?

I use coral Rx, Bayer bug killer, and FW exit, all in three separate containers.

    Coral Gobies

It makes sense. Acro crabs protect their coral hosts, so if the gobies are using the corals for protection and food, they'd benefit from protecting them as well.

Question about my german blue ???

Yeah, hard to tell without pictures, but it sounds like it's just a part of the coral growing. It may be starting to send off new branches or something. Mine grows like a weed, too.
