Your pictures color are getting better. Pictures are blury due to hand shake. Tripod will help you to take a tack sharp pictures.

Are you using the point and shoot camera? You could use the custom setting to reduce the blue

I got stung by it all the time while I was working in the pet shop. It just itching abit. You could vinegar to clean the burnt mark.
