    Hesitations about LiveAquaria.com

They were bought out back in 2020. I worked for the company that now owns them and it was nightmarish. Super cool job but the conditions were atrocious. I'm talking many large chest freezers overflowing with dead fish every week and just all around terrible conditions for fish and workers. I...

You ready for the heat wave?

I couldnt beat the heat. My tank is normally at 76 and it reached 83 over the last couple days. Nothing pissed or dead so I'll call it a win

    Branching GSP FS/Trade

As John said, I've been dealing with Covid since last week. Sorry for the late/limited replies right now and thanks for the kind words. I'm doing mostly better, But I'll be holding off on trades/meetups until I test negative for your sakes. Sorry for the hassle, hope to meet some of y'all...

    molly for algae control

Interesting. It's unlikely that any freshwater disease/parasite would survive that salinity, but I suppose it's possible. Not sure what else you had in the tank but, my money is on something dying and releasing toxins into the tank

    molly for algae control

I have a small pump suctioned to the wall. The horizontal pipe has holes/slits cut in it so water trickles down the mesh. Looks ugly but does a great job

    molly for algae control

I have a molly in my 30 gal and she's fat and happy! does well with film algae on the glass and sometimes picks at GHA, but not the best if you're looking specifically for GHA removal. They have great personalities, so I feel like it's a good addition to any community tank, the slight utility is...

    Branching GSP FS/Trade

The Xenia is taking over again and I feel bad tossing it like plant trimmings so, come grab a bunch! $5-15 for some hefty portions. I also have a decent colony of branching GSP I can frag out for $10-20 depending on size. also willing to trade for some other corals. I have a mix of softies...

    Anyone here 3D Print?

kind of depends what you're trying to make but, blender is well known for more artistic, free form kind of stuff. If you're trying to make 3-d printed reef rock structure or something, use blender. I'm not great with it, but I have friends who use it and love it. Fusion360 is another great...

    WHAT IS THIS MYSTERY LPS?

sounds about right. It took a beating from my scoly(got it from you! :P ), but it looks like it's recovering okay. I just have no clue what variety it'd be if it is a torch

    WHAT IS THIS MYSTERY LPS?

So, a little over a year ago, I bought a chunk of zoas from Seaside Tropical fish. I saw what looked like a little anemone on the frag, and being a new reefer, I was concerned. But the owner smiled and said "lucky you!" or something to that effect, indicating it was good. I've had it in my 5 gal...

    Price drop

Might be interested in a couple hammer heads, will PM about those later if so.. However... How tf do you get your mushrooms off your rocks? I have some similar rhodactis shrooms that have spread beyond where I'd like them and I haven't been able to get them off the rocks without major damage

Feedback on: SeaSide Tropical Fish-Huntington Beach

Overall a solid store. They usually have a great selection for their cheap coral bins. It's hard for me to walk out without doing their 3 for 30 deal whenever I'm in. Their higher end stuff that isn't labeled is usually too pricey imo. Their dry goods are a little pricier than tong's, but i like...

    Experience with "Catalina" Water

oh dope! yeah their lights went out for a while and things were looking rough a few months ago, but last I checked everything was doing fine again, I'd love to get back into working with fish, just not enough money there unless you're running it lol

commenting for visibility and so I'll get pinged. I have a digitata that's encrusted over my rock for almost a year now. Only a 5 gal tank, but its been crazy hardy and happy the entire time. Just a week or so ago, it started going white. polyp extension is weak and polyps are half bleached and...
