I would do less right now, not more. Any ammonia is bad...even the smallest amount. Scr’s advice above sounds good to me. Get a good test kit, get a refractometer and let things stabilize, the bacteria on the live rock and sand will eventually catch up and your tank will cycle. I also agree...

I agree on getting a refracometer. Assuming the hydrometer is close though, salinity is not the problem if it is steady. My first concern would be the ammonia. It should be at 0. Clownfish are “messy” and I wonder if 8 in that tank are creating more waste than your system can keep up...

This was well worth the trip. Got great deals on a bunch of corals, “high end” and “common”. Seeing the system and the knowledge I ga8ned was worth the trip but I am really happy with the corals I got. A lot left!

Thanks, guys. It was an 8 gallon reservoir but running a fan to keep the heat down caused more evaporation. I am guessing the ATO auto shut off to make sure there wasn't overflow when the evaporation was really bad one day and didn't get turned back on. Then they topped off with Saltwater on...
