    Second Cycle Update - Need advise on how to lower my nitrate levels

    When you replaced your sand you most likely killed a lot of bacteria. When they die it will create some nitrates. I would recommend doing few smaller water changes in shorter time. That's typically the easiest way to lower nitrates in tanks.

    You wouldn't need an air pump. But yes, if you want to use your current tank you can convert it to use a sump. There are some hang on back returns you can buy from places like marine depot. My first coral was a frogspawn and it's flourishing. But for some reason I cannot keep a xenia alive...

    Clownfish advice? help?

    How are you acclimating the fish? Yes, having more then 2 clown can cause some issues. Had 4 clowns in a 100 gallon fighting, so had to remove 2 of them.
