I know and iodine doesn’t often cause major problems but too much or to little can make a tank unhappy and I’d like to have a bead on it.

I just checked the EXP date on my iodine test and it says April of 2017, that far out of date, Im not sure it’s of any value at all to go through the 47 steps required to even get a reading. What’s a good iodine test these days? And by good, I mean easy to use.

I have a 30’ hose I use to pump the water from my garage to my tank. I just use the crappy transfer pump to mix the salt. If i was going to buy a mixing pump for that single purpose, I’d probably get a cheep propeller pump. Like this...

Well, the now pump is doing a significantly better job of pulling gunk than ever before. I’ve had this Schiller what? 6 years? I’ve had to turn the power tor the pump down from 90%to 80% and it still works better than the old pump ever did.

New pump in, using my same old impeller with a fresh mesh mod. Running silent again :) one thing is that I used ty-wrap brand zip ties the have a stainless steel tang. I’m wondering if that will be a problem.
