2 week trip, tank crash, Think I'm done.

Wow, thanks! You sure did. I wasn't even thinking about shocking myself, I thought we were talking about outlets causing fires. Shame I didn't have HS electronics! Looks like I've got some work to do on the tank, now. Thanks again!

2 week trip, tank crash, Think I'm done.

How would you explain it to someone with no knowledge of electrical outlets and the risks? Is the risk higher for a saltwater tank than something like a computer in a non-GFCI plug? Thanks!

    WTB Biofilter Blocks

I've used Seachem Matrix for a quick backup to keep the cycle in line. Seems to work well and doesn't come apart.

    Reef cleaners group order

To be clear, I'm not trying to hijack @MFlores888 thread. In a couple of weeks I plan to start an Irvine group buy and will post a new thread about it. Sorry @MFlores888 !

    Reef cleaners group order

I usually stipulate that it's a "go" once we hit 4 group buyers (myself included). I try to stop at 7 buyers, because then it's risky that we end up having to pay two shipping boxes, and then my office becomes a warzone of CUC bags strewn about :~)

    Reef cleaners group order

I may organize one soon, but it will be an overnight UPS again. Probably in another week or two.

Irvine, taking orders for coral frags

Thanks everyone. I've gotten all of the first round of requests done. For those of you that wrote later with requests, I'll probably start fragging again next week--this week has been too busy. Will keep you posted!

    Orange ricordea mushroom

I might have time next week to come up to Orange during lunch break if you have any--otherwise I can wait for more babies!

    Twin Spot Wrasse

Wrasse/eel guy thinks it's actually a good fit if you have solid rockwork.

    Twin Spot Wrasse

That's a good question. I'll ask the wrasse experts. With the size sharks normally in aquaria, an adult might be OK. Will check.

    PROCE DROP (again) $800 OBO: Reef Savvy- 48” x 30” x 24” tall- tank/stand/sump

Agreed, it's awesome. But the factor for buyers is "do I have enough $$$ to set up a new tank right NOW?" If I wasn't under marital audit, I'd probably buy it and just keep the tank till I was ready to get new lights, pumps, powerheads, rocks, etc, etc. :~)

    Any Plate Enjoyers?

Awesome! Diaseris is high on my most wanted list, but I only have one other plate not for trade, and I don't know what I have that is similar for trade. I mostly have zoas right now unless you would like a small frag of koji wada pink nepthea.

    PROCE DROP (again) $800 OBO: Reef Savvy- 48” x 30” x 24” tall- tank/stand/sump

Sounds about right. I would love this tank, but it's just not in the cards. Would need a whole new set of lights (mine are best for a narrower tank), some other new equipment, and TIME to set it up. I want to get a bigger tank, but looks like it'll be a while before that happens :( OP, like...

    Twin Spot Wrasse

That fish can theoretically get up to 4 feet long. Even in the case of a captive species only reaching 50% of its potential, that's a 2 foot fish. Most people don't have the tanks to support that kind of fish and I have no idea why they sell them other than grabbing cash for a cute juvenile...
