Hey guys, anyone know the shelf life for ALK reagent on a Hanna meter? I got a bad reading on an opened, older bottle(said 8, was 6.7DKH). I'm sure they older the opened bottle gets, the worse the reading but, I would like to know when not to trust it.

Not really an option with my current chiller. It's a drop in and its needs to be close to reach the water. I can buy another bigger, in-line, but then I would need to redo the pipes, buy an expensive chiller, and I would need to vent it out somehow. I think insulating and buying a stand alone AC...

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if a bigger chiller produces more heat? Like does a 3/4 HP produce more heat than a 1/4HP?

Yup. I vented it with fan blowing air out the roof and a side vent blowing air in but, it's still hot. Next step might be to AC the garage.

Chiller was running this morning at 6AM. The garage was already hot...

Are you sure you aren't running the waste water back into the DI? Is everything hooked up correctly?

"Installed" a blower fan to vent air from outside into the garage on a timer. By "installed", I mean duct taped the fan to the ducting then, to the wall.

Have you ever tried to Chemiclean it?

Terrible news about your tank and my condolences. Can you tell us a bit more about the auto-start generator though? I was looking into getting a generator but I would prefer a unit I wouldn't have to turn on if needed.
