Stability is the key. Slightly off or bad(ish) parameters that are very stable will be much more successful than great parameters that jump around. The most important parameter for acros, for me at least, seems to be alkalinity so keep that as stable as you can. Good luck with it and I’m sorry...

If there is no livestock, which it sounds like this is the case, I definitely don’t see any apparent negative effect. Dont recommend it when the tank is up and running with other livestock, such a rapid salinity change can create problems.
