    Schnitzel's Shallow Leemar 250

It's at 6.8 right now, and yes I just bought a new lab grade probe for the tank. I calibrate both probes every few months. I actually just opened up my effluent even more. Trying to keep alk at 7.5-8, instead of low 7s.

    Chloramine test

I run a chloramine filter, and change it every 6-8 months. I called my water provider, and they told me they do not use chloramines in the water. I was under the impression everyone was doing it.

Threw together this Co2 scrubber from an old cheap media reactor I had. PH went up .1 in 30 minutes. It's def burning through the media fast. I don't see this media lasting longer than 1-2 days. I'm looking to buy a larger reactor that can hold more medi, and I will be adding a solenoid to...

I used to run my reactor at 6.5 and lower flow, but it wouldn't keep up with my alk demands. My reactor never got clogged. Not sure how melting media would clog the reactor. Unless your effluent is running very slow.

    Schnitzel's Shallow Leemar 250

I used to run my reactor with lower effluent and lower ph, but it wouldn't keep up with my alk demands. Even right now I think I am not keeping up, last time I checked my alk was 7. I usually try to keep it 7.5-8 if I can. This weekend I was going to test and adjust my co2 to lower the ph even more.

    BouncingSoul's 50 Gallon SPS Tank

Looks like skimmer is working well. Might want to spend a little more money and get the Bubble Magus doser. I've heard bad things about the Jebao doser. :/

Ph inside the reactor is 7.8. I've never checked the exact rate of effluent.

    Schnitzel's Shallow Leemar 250

I already have a second chamber, but I may try a 3rd chamber like you are describing. When I first started running a calcium reactor I had one just like your describing. I made it from a dip and pour. Reactor is a beast. 6"x24"

    Phosphate

have you tried running GFO?...thats the fastest and easiest way to remove phosphates. depending on the size of your system and your budget, maybe you can look into an all in one media like chemipure.

i cant run my effluent any lower, it wont keep up with my alk demands. and yes i believe that to be the reason why my PH is so low.
