Eunice worms. Nasty, ugly and eat zoas, softies. Look similar to large bristle worms. I've had bristle worms like 20" long that didn't touch nems or any coral that looked like a eunice. Ron Shimek has written extensively on these things.

I had a yellow tang that did. ime it dies with low nutrients. I think it's illegal here but I had it in Chicago and it was a great refugium algae, better than chaeto at least in that tank.

I agree because if it spreads you'll be breaking your tank down anyways. Looks like feather caulerpa or maybe bryopsis; either way it's bad news ime. You could try to smear kalk paste over it but do it very carefully to avoid a ph spike or collateral damage.

+1 on rating of brands. I've never run a halide w/o supplementing it. I've run 10K supplemented with t5s to get color and growth. 10 years ago I used to run Iwasaki 6700 supplemented w/t 5s. Had incredible growth but colors didn't "pop." I would say buy a radium if you want your coral colors...

I've had better growth from 10K bulbs, XM in particular. I am running a 15K Iwasaki bulb on one tank but it's more like 10K imo but had really good growth. Not all bulbs are created equal imo. Sanjay has done lots of tests on diff bulbs/brands showing PAR readings you could look up. Softies...
