I run UV as well. probably just a phase and with time the more mature the tank gets the less of an issue that will be. I'd say give the Brightwell Razor a try. Worked wonders for me.

like others said. You're good. The oil in the gauge is simply there to dampen the needle vibration and make it easier to read. The deluxe is an awesome RO unit. If you want it to last the longest, I suggest always turning it off when not in use and not leave it under constant water pressure...

I had that for some time. I did a few things and now only scrape my tank once a week. For me it was biome or lack thereof. I dosed MB7 and Brightwell Razor simultaneously. My guess is that algae is consuming your nutrients instead of a diverse bacteria population.

Maybe bleach the Saltwater container you're storing your water in? Who knows but it may have leached in the container and equipment? Finally, test RO water and verify 0. If so then put RO water in your saltwater container with equipment inside and then test to see if something is leaching it?

lol Well that's an easy problem to fix. Make sure to scrape all them tubes off so your Turbos can easily get to the GHA.

do you have vermetid snails? If so, turbo snails tend to stay away from rock with them on it. May need some bumble bee snails to get rid if them and then hopefully the turbo snails will eradicate the GHA.

prob no need to oversize the skimmer then. If anything go with the skimmer that has a reliable pump. I think DC is cool but not necessary and just another thing to tune on top of another thing to tune. Aquamaxx uses Sicce pumps so that's a good thing and Tunze is tried and true.

are you still going to run the chaeto reactor and how much space do you have in the sump?
