Lake forest water isnt much better. I get 450+++ from my water before my filters

You also have to consider if this is in a canopy or free hanging. If its in a canopy I would go with Chinese knockoffs with 4 retrofit t5 lights. This is only a softy tank and the t5's will hide the shadow and give the corals more pop. Also you can at night just do the t5 and really get that...

You also have to consider if your getting any wrasses. They need sand to sleep. I have sand and always like the way it looks. I also love wrasses to clean my tank so I don't think ill ever go bb.

Just use synthetic salts mix..HW-Marinemix Reefer Salt Mix is all I use and you know what your going to get.

Well if you had a Neptune apex I have a par meter module. I wouldnt go buy a par meter just for your lights. I would rather buy a controller instead and keep looking for someone with that par meter. Also like a previous quote your corals will tell you if they like the lights.
