Hogs will eat and critter in the tank. I've had a few and the are aggressive eaters. Took out bristle worms thicker then a pencil! Never had an issue with aggression towards other fish but every fish is different. I have the Diana hog right now and she is my absolute fav! To each their own.

I'm curious too why you would want to switch? ESV is awesome stuff. But if you had to I would recommend looking into a calcium reactor.

From reading, it seems copper coils hold up better than aluminum coils. Multiple sources are saying that field applied epoxy coatings are a waste of money. Many are saying that it's just the nature of the beast and to expect to have to replace the unit every 4-7 years. Supposedly cleaning...

Awesome info! That's what I was a bit nervous about. Is there a different A/C unit that you would suggest instead, that comes with coated coils or designed for a more harsh enviroment, or do you know someone that can pull the coil(s) and have them coated for me? If I can get 5 years the way...
