Picked up my 150G from Advance Aqua Tanks in LA (Vizio, etc.). Brought it in on Monday (after buying it new in July), with some bubbles of concern throughout the silicon. Gonna have to get the neighborhood to carry it in tommorrow..but first RAP!

Bought it new in end of Feb., Upgraded in July. Forgive the pics., but tank was cycling at the time and brights weren't on. Let me know what you think... cheers

Turbonut-didnt u say if it reads 7 on a salifert test, it's probably around 6? If this is so, then you agree my alk may be low? The bugs do have legs.

The orp is based on an apex that I recently set up (so reading may be off still)

Thanks guys for the response, I took the alk/mag/ca off of salifert test kits. Based on both of your opinions, it appears my alk is low in addition to my ca, as salifert tests r lower than they actually read. The bugs havent been mentioned...do u think that they are aiding in this problem? Thanks

Just a little update to this thread...GOOD NEWS! Thank you Chad from Coral Gazers in Tustin! He stopped by and got it working without silicon. From this process, and as it has been said over and over again, hand tighten the fitting and go just a bit tighter with a wrench. If you did it right...

Chris, almost wish it was that dumb of a problem, but glad to say it's not cracked. I think from all of this I've learned to put the fittings on and test them (pressure test with a pump to send up the return piping) before filling the tank up
