Hi my 10g tanks aprox 1mo old and ive managed to get my nitrates down to 0 and ph 0.25 using skimmer and chaeto but im having a lot of green hair algae should i buy any supplement or should i just wait for it to go away

Any of you guys using this kind of skimmer?ive been running it for about 2weeks now and i think its not doing its job efficiently as it should...the skimmate is wet an doesnt even get full in the collection cup in its 2weeks of running
