Maybe do some trimming on the chaeto and see if that helps. I wonder how your tank would function without the Refug. It’s an odd thing to think of dosing nitrates, or trying to bring nitrates up, while having a Refug.

I have some questions. -How often do you do your WC and by what %. -When do you test your nitrates? -How large is your Refug? And why keep one if your having nitrate issues?

Original Magic Erasers, it’s safe for saltwater. Cut it thin long wise, I usually get three pieces out of one eraser. Then I use a magnet cleaner putting the Magic Eraser on the inside of the tank. Hope this helps.

Just a guess.. what about Hydroids. They sting coral. You been feeding coral a lot lately? they are filter feeders, feed coral less. Feed pods less, feed fish just enough and they go away.
