You check TDS in 3 places. Tap Water, RO and RO/DI If tap water is 400 TDS then RO should measure at 20 TDS if membrane has a 95% rejection rate. Then measure RO/DI which should be 0 or 1. If the TDS after RO is too high then you are exhaust your DI to quick. DI is your biggest cost.

Good price. Don't think its energy efficient though. Uses 400 watts at 1500gph.

Doesnt look like a tube anemone without seeing its base. If its insider of a tube like a feather duster then its a tube anemone. From the picture it looks like a purple condylactis anemone. Seen more and more lately at the LFS. Better looking than those plain condylactis anemone

With your P04 being so high I think a large water change would be cheaper than GFO. Your GFO would probably exhaust itself in a few hours with PO4 being so high.

The TDS between the waste water and tap water is very close since RO/DI is not very efficient in water waste. I use it in my pond with kois and never had any problems.

Your tank is large so I doubt the tank temp will rise alot during the 4 hours. Lghts, main pumps will heat the water but not with Vorteh on backup battery. It will be cheaper if you just get a 12v car battery inverter and plug that to your car and power your Vortech longer than 4 hours

You could drink it but why would you. I use RO water for my family (before the DI) The TDS of waste water is not much higher than your tap water. Some cities tap water is probably much higher than your waste water.

I can reach the bottom using a tall stool to reach to the bottom of a 30" tall tank. There is no canopy so that may be the deciding factor for alot of people. If I had to reach over a canopy on a 30" tall tank then forget it. Running LEDs so no need for a canopy. Are you people talking reaching...
