Good news with our climate is our humidity is very low during the hot summers making fans a good choice to cool your tank. Two years ago when it was 100+ degrees for several days in a row plus the high humidity made everything worse. Fans barely works during high humidity.

MIght be bladder issues. Crosshatches are mostly collected mostly in deep water. Collectors normally pop the Crosshatch's bladder on the way up but sometimes they dont pop them right.
