i transitioned from redsea to a4r and everything has been a lot more stable. the only down side for me was my corals consume more mag and cal than the a4r could supply without having to raise the alk too much to compensate for it. i had to buy separate tropic marin cal and mag supplements but...

most named ones will have subtle differences. usually something about eye coloration, pattern scheme, or eye size. a rainbow chalice is pretty much any chalice with multiple colors. to get a “true” jellybean, if you’re looking to collect, you’d have to order from WWC or cornbred which will cost $$$&

unfortunately, that tends to happen to a lot of the higher end zoas. they grow into nice colonies and just melt away, which is why it’s good to continue fragging and have back ups. do you know what your iodine levels are? the par they’re receiving?
