maybe it has something to do with types of materials used for plumbing.... flexible? ridged? any piping touching anywhere etc.. as for mine, i use flexible pvc piping from the pump and connects to pvc after check valve. When I touch my pipes i can feel the vibrations I even have soft padding...

this is odd... mine is 1262 and it's not quiet .. i've small eheim 350gph or something on my nano.. that i know it's quiet but, NOT my 1262

he was running SP4 on his 120g tank... alot of flow in his tank. My head lost is minimal... for his tank at least 4' if that info 290gph for 4.5' is true I don't know how good flow he has and i watched.

I'm currently using Sicce 3.5 on my 50g tank... how i like it? I don't... it's not as quiet as it says and heard from other people... I also have used 1262 and it was not quiet either and made me buy this Sicce pump not happy with both. I just visit one of the fellow reefer's house tonight...

I've one... wish i can get him out from my DT cuz, his a bully and eats like a pig other fish dont have chance to eat before he snatches up so i over feed just for others to have chance to eat before him. makes my tank dirty and contaminated.
