Have a chiller but don't use it since it heats up the room its in. In my opinion because the room itself is small it starts a viscious cycle of cooling down the tank while its exhaust heats up the tank. If it's going to be 90+ I leave my ac on a thermostat. If it's 90 or below I can get away...

For the micro bubbles the felt on the inlet can sometimes cause a lot of vacuum on the return hoses and they starts to suck air into the line. this happened to me once Either that or as suggested before it can be the return going too fast for the sump.
