Not sure.. I would assume it wouldnt.. my 10 gallon nano has zero heat issues with the kessil on there even with my clear hood on.

Red sea nano seems to have a very shallow width. That's why I initially got a frag tank, but soon as I brought it home, I got into a scrap with the wife and agreed to get something smaller... sheesh... feels like I'm living with ny parents again being married lol!
