Trio of flames... am I cray?

I haven't personally tried it, but I know people have done pairs and trios of angels before. John Coppolino being one of the experts on angelfish, has done it many times. I think if you get them all small (when they are females), and introduce them at the same time you'll be fine in your size...

    Helpful Tips

Considering I'm currently fighting Dinos... make sure you have good diversity in your tank, even down to the biological level. Also reading 0 on Nitrates and Phosphates isn't always a good thing haha. GHA is better and easier to fight than Dino's haha.

    Help :(

I don't have an acrylic tank, but when it comes to buffing/polishing... Try to use the finest grit possible that will remove any residue, because any micro scratch you put in, you will obviously need to take out with an even finer grit. Just take your time, and don't rush the process...

    Alkalinity Question

Like everyone else indicated, it really depends on when you are adding supplements, and if you are doing manual dosing or if you have a auto dosing unit. If dosing by hand, like Jgao said, test before dosing, and about an hour after to see the change. If using a dosing unit, depending on how...

    Skimmer Options

I really like my Vertex Omega, but I've heard excellent things about the Aquamaxx skimmers. Either would be a good choice.

    Is this Dinoflagellates?

I think that's smart, I just need to pick up some test kits. What brand would you recommend?

    Is this Dinoflagellates?

Tank is about 9 months old, I've probably had the problem for at least a month or 2, but I was too busy to really focus on anything and at first I thought it was Cyano but all the steps I did to lower nutrients to starve Cyano did nothing, hence me believing its Dino's. I used Real Reef Rock...

    Is this Dinoflagellates?

Definitely not GHA, its more brown in appearance, and yeah its got snotty strings and bubbles. Occasionally the tank smells. I started taking the precautions if it is Dino's (feeding more, adding more biodiversity with bacteria, Miracle Mud, Coraline Algae strains etc) So we'll see what...

Adding rock to an existing tank

Yeah I'd probably cure it for a bit just to be on the safe side.

Anyone going to the coral farmers market in May?

Oh dang! I didn't know this was coming up. Yeah, I'll be there.

    100 gallons Acros tank

    Hey Mr V, any updates?

    Is this Dinoflagellates?

Can anyone help identify this for me, am I correct that they are Dinoflagellates?

    Recommend dosing unit

Yeah definitely calibrate your pump, mine overall was pretty spot on, but you want to make sure its accurate for the length and type of tubing you use.

What kind of supplements do you use?

For me I primarily use ESV B-Ionic 2 part as its seems to be one of the easiest for me. I did use the Red Sea system and I liked that as well. I'd recommend either one honestly. The red sea gives you more control over different elements, but since I started doing automated daily 1% water changes...

    Recommend dosing unit

I've had my Jebao DP-4 for around 9 months now, and its been awesome. I haven't had any issues with it at all. It's kept my settings during power outages too. I use it for ESV B-Ionic 2 part, and 1% daily water changes on my system. It's shown to be consistent, and reliable for me. Programming...

Thinking of Tearing down my Current 120 Gallon Reef

If you get a new tank, you could always get a Red Sea Reefer in the size you want. They have good dimensions, and are super clean set ups. The 650 Peninsula that Ali at Amazing Reefs just got in is stunning.

FEB 2018 - FEATURED REEF- MR. V's 45 SPS reef

Congrats man! It's surprising to me you've only been in the hobby for a few years. You honestly have some of the most colorful Acros I've ever seen. Cheers to your continued success.
