Planning on running chaeto and a skimmer on my current build for nutrient export. Tank is a 66g with a 20L sump, eshopps S120, ATI 8x24, dosing two part, planning on doing a mixed reef with moderate fish load. I'm trying to avoid running GFO or carbon dosing. Pros/cons?

Free 40 breeder and 24.5x13x13.5"h terrarium type tank. The 40b is drilled on one side but has a bulkhead and a plug, doesn't leak, I used it as a sump for my FSM setup. The other tank does have some bluish silicone, so probably had copper in it at some point, would be decent for a fish QT though.

This is the sump that comes with the SCA 66g. Never seen water. Skimmer section is 10.25" X 10.25". Does not include hoses/plumbing/etc., just the sump.

I've always used a little bit of silicone lube on my gaskets, but the more I read most people just run them dry. How do you guys run yours?
