Actually it looks dead already in my opinion

It looks pretty bad and I say just remove it from the tank. I've had experience with anenomes and I currently have three in my tank. They do weird things like secreting waste mucus from their bodies. And they look like their dying but their not. This picture though looks like the anenome is dying.

Did it not fit right in the sump or was it over skimming? I know how touchy they can be with water level.

Still keep an eye on that fish. Months or years may go by then all of a sudden it starts nipping at corals. It happens.

I will also feed him or them ( depending what you do ) twice a day. Those fish really excel with more feedings. Good filtration too.

With good filtration and a better lighting situation, added with some rock, you can make a sweet set up. Adding some critters will really make the tank alive. Easy soft corals and anenomes will make things pop.

The zooxanthellae will come back, it's just going to take time. I will lightly feed the coral every day until the color comes back. The coral is now relying on you to acquire food.

Red milli needs to be a give away.

I always try to introduce these to any tank I set up

University of Hawaii just did a study on artificial foods impacting coral growth. Reef Chili performed the best. I personally bought some after reading this study.

I personally feed a TON of food because I've got a great skimmer, gfo, and regular water change schedule. Fat fish are healthy fish my friend :)
