Carbon won't hurt. Run it slow out of a reactor...

Pellets will do more for you than the GFO and cost you less… easier to replace and better than pellets. Doing both will strip your tank of too many nutrients unless your a pro and know the balance between the two. Carbon won't hurt anything if you replace it monthly and don't run the water...

If the pump is working and turns on every time you re start it, then it's good… replace it when it breaks… and it's not an emergency either… same or next day is fine for replacement… Just my opinion...

If you want to spend some cash then get a new skimmer. If the one you have works good then spend it on some new coral from one of the sponsors.. Don't replace what's already working okay. If you think you are overloading your tank with coral and fish and think the skimmer you have can't keep up...

f you are having no problem then why change anything? I'm not a fan of the SWC but just wondering why you want to change.

skip the GFO and run pellets and carbon.
