I think a lot of it depends on what you are trying to grow in your reef tank.... I run a Pacific Sun fixture...Led / T5 combo... Very happy with it.....

I also have changed to mesh... and I have noticed no difference in water quality... ..... I just rinse them in utility sink, and done...So much easier....

yup, bought it about the size of a silver dollar, it stays put.... and the maroon clown keeps feeding it, and it keeps growing :)
