peyote cactus is lophophora williamsi....san pedro is echinopsis panachoi (if i remember correctly)....they both contain mescaline along with dozens of other psychoative alkaloids....san pedro cactus at its most potent dried only contains about 0.7% mescaline where as peyote buttons dried...
