I usually make my FW up with a pH buffer, ie, i add the pH 8.3 buffer to RODI water. Then I place that container in my sump to allow it to warm. This usually takes a bit of time, but it is worht it. My whole dipping procedure usually takes about an hour. A healthy coral will be stressed...

Revive, TMPCC, and flatworm exit. On zoas that are wild colonies I typically do a FW dip for 3 min as well. On all SPS i add a pinch of interceptor to the mix. I would rather lose one new coral than a tank full of healthy established ones...

I am in the process of upgrading the grow out system and this tub just couldnt fit into the design. 48 X ~24 X ~20. Drilled for one overflow and two returns, comes with bulkheads and some plumbing. Fits well on a pair of sawhorses for a great DIY simple frag tank. 75$ OBO...open to trades...

So my Ca reactor decided to crack this evening, right at the base where the acrylic starts to bend. Question is, can I glue it somehow so that it will still hold water? If so, what should I use? Thanks Paul

most likely, the LFS by my house did the same thing and the shark ate all the fish, then developed problems because it swam in circles for too long. Really that is torture to such a majestic creature...i feel so sorry for it.

Black tip reef shark...that seems pretty cruel unless that tank is like a few thousand gallons.
