i just want one thats been in QT for a while, plus Id rather help someone out and give the fish a good home. fish from wholesalers need a lot of TLC and QT. Those are headaches I dont need.

yeah, jeff has had a plague of issues with the tank. pH, Alk, Salinity, pests...so its been waves, but he will get it back for sure. i love the orange tails, but you never know if you end up with one till its huge. I love the streamers too.

Nothing beats a good QT. I QT all my coral (and fish) before it goes anywhere in my system. Just cant take a chance. Ive gotten more crap from LFS ( I wont name) than anywhere...but if you dont QT you are just waiting for something to tag in.

yeah, jeff's tank is lookin sparse. there were a few that could have been orange tails, one that was for sure, with a streamer, but it was pricy and it was sold. Was alos like 8+ inches. Let me know about that emperor, im def interested.

I buy corals from other hobbyists all the time, but to be honest, Im a lot more like a hobbyist than a retailer. I find that stuff from hobbyists is in better shape, adapts faster, and usually holds its color way better than anything you could find at the wholesaler. I think Dave did a good...

couple things, first he needs a permit to collect, probably should contact the local F&W office. second, he needs to ship via airlines, because Fedex and UPS do not do overnight shipments from Hawaii to the mainland.

Yeah, I would let the corals acclimate over a few days, but it wont be too drastic. I would just cut back an hour or two and make sure nothing gets too burned up. The ATI fixtures are the freakin best....and they have some new goodies coming out real soon, not sure if its lighting or...

looks awesome man! That fixture should be like 2-3" off the surface though, so lower it for sure!

If you have baller status Detane, go LED, but you've seen my stuff and its all T5. I love T5 and will never ever go back to MH, plus the stuff grows way faster under the T5s than it ever did with MH. Power hungry and hot...no way, plus the coverage is variable...
