Thanks Schnitzel for the tip on autotopoff.com. Ended up getting a dual float, dual solenoid system that runs on a timer twice a day. I think it's about as failsafe as I can get hooking directly to my RO/DI unit. Only thing left to get is a water sensor on the floor of the cabinet.

I got a Powder Blue Tang about three weeks ago. She had a little bit of ich, but I wasn't too concerned - tangs get ich. Every time I have added a Tang to a tank with existing tangs they jockey for position, get a little stressed and get ich. This has always gone away within a week or two...

So I am starting to get a few areas in my tank where the sand is turning pink/red. Looks to me like the start of a cyano problem, but it isn't matting, just little whispies/strings off the sand grains. Also, my tangs pick at it and eat it. Seems like it goes away at night, but comes back...

Tested my parameters today and everything was good except my ammonia is 0.75. This tested at barely detectable last week. Only thing I have changed was I opened a new case of frozen brine shrimp (same manufacturer). I doubt this is it unless they froze them in pee... Doing a water change...
