How fast did you lose your savings?

It took me about 2 years to go from a 10 gallon, to a 72, a 65, and a 12 gallon up and running... I also have at least a half dozen tanks in storage, waiting for the right time the right fish, the right concept, or the right buyer... More than likely, some, if not all, will get set uo before...

caulerpa serrulata..should I take it out

I just found some of it growing in my display. I pruned it back and put it in my fuge. Hopefully, between the serrulata, the racemosa, the chaetomorpha, and the mangroves in my fuge, I'll actually be able to get my nitrates in check and start adding corals to my tank again.

    vacation

With a tank that small, I might try to find someone I trust to top off a couple times. It doesn't have to be a fellow reefer, just someone you know can follow directions. I can't tell you how many times I've left my tank in someone else's care, only to come home to pumps running dry, dead, dry...

Another one of those tank sale

I'm still working on the wife. I'm hoping I can convince her to let me upgrade before the baby.

    Runaway mushroom

I usually just let loose shrooms float around until they settle down... I've lost a few, but most of them find a happy spot and settle down. Since it's a ric, and not a chrap common shroom, I'd try the tupperware.

    Light Hangers for $10!

Sweet. Pre-made, pre-bent, and pre-drilled is often easier than DIY, even if it isn't precisely what you had imagined, planned, or sketched... This is something I have learned owning a Jeep. Those look well made, and the price can't be beat... I'd imagine there's close to, if not more than, $10...

    niterider trinewt bike light...

Yeah, you get used to riding fixed. It's a great workout/training. I have two fixies right now, since I'm babysitting my buddy's while he's in the navy. His is geared a bit harder than mine, and we both have fixed/fixed rear wheels, so I have 3 possible gear combinations between the two bikes.

    Canon t1i Body only

Great camera at a great price. I've been wanting to replace/upgrade my digital rebel, since the auto focus quit working on mine... Maybe I can convince my wife I need a new camera, since we will be starting with baby pictures in a few months.

    niterider trinewt bike light...

Nice wheels, guys, and nice light Gumbii. If I did more night time mtb I'd jump on it, but right now my only bikes that get any night-time action are my fixed gear and my Scott CR-1.

Another one of those tank sale

I want to snap this up BECAUSE I have a kid on the way... I figure if I don't upgrade now, it will be years before I'm able too.

Another one of those tank sale

Beautiful tank and a sweet price. I'm gonna start buttering up the wife, especially since that would fit where I have my current tank, amd it would look sooooo much better in my living room.

    Any seahorse breeders on here?

I'll be keeping an eye on this thread... I'll have a 12 gal, cycled and sitting empty, once I return my fish to my display tank... Was thinking horses would be a good way to go.

How do I kill sponges in my tank?

Spike your nitrate, drop your pH, let your sg swing erratically. And let lots of microbubbles get into your display. That will kill sponges... And lots of other things too.

    it is possible ??

I suppose you could if you wanted to... My system is a particulate filter, then granulated carbon, then a carbon block, then RO, then DI, then a post-filter of some kind... It's your tank and your money. If you want to try it, I say go for it, see what happens. If it improves your water...
