i dont have any with ethernet cable you plug the usb into your laptop

easy way look at the usb cable if its a 2 piece short cable with extension its gen2 if its a long cable one piece its gen1 best way is to plug it in if it the upgrade firmware is greyed out its gen 1 if it lets you click it its gen 2

yes Gen 2 has more leds and is upgradeable gen 1 is not upgradable at all I have both and not even the usb cables are interchangeable I am interested if is a gen 2
